Imagine my surprise when the bride called me from Hawaii, to reminisce about her wedding cake ! Excerpted from my phone conversation with Adeirdre Stribling from Hawaii – 10-13-09—Wedding 10-10-09

“That was the most amazing cake! That was beautiful artistically, visually, and in every way, and I didn’t want to cut it. When I did cut it, I didn’t expect it would taste as good as it looked. But it was simply amazing. I almost fainted when I tasted it, and that’s how good it was. I’m in Hawaii and I’m wanting some of that cake. I’m going to have to order some more of that cake, do you ship?, I’m serious.”

Thanks Adeirdre for your kindness..we did everything by email, and phone. Someday we will meet!

Thank you so much for making the cake for my wifes 40th. It was wonderful and everyone loved it. Many said it was the best cake they have ever had. In fact we had everyone over the next evening for desert and had a second round of cake! I will give you a call when I have need another one.

Harriet is a consummate cake professional! For both of my daughter's weddings (12/20/08 and 7/11/09), her guidance, level of service and reassurance were such what we needed. Yes those dates are correct. I had two wedding within 8 months. Between the two weddings, we used the almond, lemon/lime, strawberry, vanilla and blood orange (my personal favorite) flavors. Harriet also used special creativity with the grooms' cakes, one being a round drum shape to celebrate the Beatles Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. (Modified of course for legal reasons) My first son in law is a serious Beatles fan. As a chess coach in a local high school, my next son in law wanted a full chess board. Those chocolate chess pieces were spectacular. In fact, Harriet can pretty much do whatever your heart desires. She is an excellent, reliable vendor whom I would recommend to anyone in need of a cake for any special occasion. Her buttercream is the best ever!

I never met Harriet! But, she emailed with me numerous times to understand my theme and goal. The outcome could not have been more perfect! Our cake was perfect and we had just the right amount left over to take home! In early January (08), I was hosting a baby shower in Memphis (500+miles away from my home). I found the photos of Harriet's Babies in Blankets through a Google search and reached out to her. Her quick response, friendly voice and knowledge of her business made it easy for me to choose her cupcakes. When I mentioned I would prefer Buttercream icing, she told me her fondant was better than most. She was right! The cupcakes were a hit and I have to admit, I ate more than one!!!

When I contacted you I was really at a loss....I knew what I wanted for our DAR chapter 50th anniversary, but did not know where or how to go about finding this cake! You made my life so easy. Not only was it a delight working with you, but the cake was delicious. Everyone was so impressed.... I looked like a real hero!

Just to let you know.... the "5" (from our 5-0 anniversary cake) survived its hibernation in my freezer. We had more people today than for the actual "50th" Anniversary Tea (wouldn't you know!). Again they all raved about the cake. I have already emailed your information to two people at the meeting today, so hopefully there will be some more calls coming in.

Hello Harriet,

I do apologize for being so late however, I was always told it is never to late to say "THANK YOU". The cakes were wonderful. My daughter and her husband were so delighted. The Christian theme along with your cakes just made the whole event spectacular. Once again thank you and I look forward to contacting you for our next events.
